Girls: Looking Natural Playing Sports

Somehow, wearing a lot of foundation, gooey mascara and midnight-blue eyeshadow just does not look right on the baseball diamonds. When you are playing tennis or baseball with the gang you do not want to wear the same kind of make-up that you would at night.  Being in the sunlight can make your foundation look as if you are wearing a mask and when you start sweating from exertion, it can bead and streak and look very patchy and unnatural. Certain shades of lipstick also look really false in the sunlight; that is why you should always check your make-up in a sunlit room before you go out. The bathroom mirror does lie.

To get that sporty look you should start by applying a sheer natural foundation that is combined with a moisturizer. These are the new foundations known as BB creams that can give your skin a dewy look.  You can also then dust your face with a light natural powder with a slight tiny sparkle that will catch the sunlight.  Be careful when you use concealer as that can really stand out in natural light and make you like the inverse version of a raccoon eyes, with white circles instead of black around your eyes.  It is best to use a mineral concealer that is less detectable and be sure to match your skin shade exactly.

Mineral powders work best to blush your cheeks in the summer.  Use a wide brush to apply the blush with a circular motion right in the apple of your cheeks.  Stay away from dark shades that make your cheeks look hollow.  Sculpting with powders and foundations does not go over well in direct sunlight.   Purples, blacks, midnight blues and other eye shadows also do not look that great in the sun.  Go for matte and less shine. There is a very good chance you could end up looking like you are wearing war paint if you are not careful.

Keep everything as bland as possible and makes sure that everything is well blended.  Add a touch of gold or flesh colored shadow to the lids. Finish this look with a single coat of grey or coal black mascara if you are a brunette, or a dark brown mascara if you are a blonde.  A lip lacquer or heavier lip gloss also helps to complete this look that in the end will have you looking light, fresh and natural.

Tips on Training for Football

To be a great player on the field for the football season it is important that you train until you achieve total fitness. Football requires that you have speed, strength and endurance for a sustained amount of time. However, keeping these three training “balls” in balance can be challenging. You need to pace for yourself, yet be persistent about your goals. Training for football is also rigorous enough that it can burn you out if you are not careful to pace yourself.

Here are three or the most essential fitness training tips to help you get ready for the football season.

Train for speed as often as you can. It does not matter what position that you play, you must be fast to play the game of football. It is a good idea to us plyometrics to develop the kind of torque that you need to have a lot of power when you are on the field. Practicing shuttle sprints, that require you to start running from a variety of different kneeling positions, are the best way to train your body to increase its speed. As effective as plyometric exercises are it is important to only do them once a week so that your muscles can recover.

Build muscle endurance. Building muscle endurance is about ensuring that you can play until the very end of the game. You will participate to the each of every play in the game. This is called “playing through the whistle.”

One way that you can build your muscles is to incorporate different movements as you do your running exercises such as lifting your knees high. This helps shake your routine up and train your muscles to stay active and recover faster.

Engage in Strength Training. The strongest football players are those who are in peak physical strength. Not every position is the same, so only those ones get a workout during practice games. Be sure to choose workouts that exercise both your upper and lower body. Be sure to bulk up using weights so you have as much heft as possible when you are on the field.

By working all three of these things – your speed, endurance and strength, you can keep up with your teammates and become a formidable enemy to players on other teams. The thing is to be consistent and develop yourself into a total athlete as well as you can.
